Meeting planners looking to plan a retreat or meeting without the distractions of television and telephones will find it at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls. Located on 75 acres and bordered on three sides by Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio, the facility offers simple yet sophisticated accommodations in a natural setting.

Attention to detail and a relaxing atmosphere make the inn a destination for business travelers or a prime setting for corporate retreats. Owners Ellen Grinsfelder and Terry Lingo work with guests and meeting planners to ensure that the proper facilities and amenities are provided.

Corporate Meetings at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls

The newly finished Gathering Place provides 5,000 square feet of space for business meetings, with seating for up to 50 people and a flat-screen television. The space offers a hand-crafted log cabin setting and ample natural light. In addition, it can be configured for boardroom type meetings or a classroom for training sessions. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the Gathering Space.

The facility also promotes environmental awareness by providing many “green” details, including:

  • High-energy windows and doors
  • Fluorescent and natural lighting
  • Recycling gray water
  • Recycling programs
  • Recycled materials used in the construction of the facility

The on-site cabins offer a more intimate setting for smaller meetings or retreat activities, as well as overnight accommodations. Each of the five 1840s style cabins has its own personality and features a fully equipped kitchen, sweeping views of the hills and accommodations for up to four people.

Guest Rooms Equipped with Free Wireless Internet Access

The lodge at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is a barn-like structure that houses nine guest rooms. Guests in the lodge can stay connected to the office by way of free wireless Internet access. In addition, each room has windows that let in fresh country air and open up to views of the hills.

Hiking and Other Activities in the Hocking Hills Area

Myriad hiking and walking activities abound at and around the Inn at Cedar Falls. Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow and Cantwell Cliffs are all located within a mile of the inn and offer hiking, birding, and other outdoor serves casual fine dining with an emphasis on local ingredients. Schulz also hosts several on-site cooking classes throughout the year.activities.

The inn also offers cooking classes several times a year, where guests can learn firsthand from Chef Anthony Schulz.

Inn at Cedar Falls a Select Registry Property

Since 1989, the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls has been a member of the Select Registry compilation of distinguished inns in North America. This designation is maintained by the Association of Independent Innkeepers.
